Our Voice, Our Choice is the theme for 2009 We hope groups will support NZ Book Month as they have in previous years - Our Voice, Our Choice is all about communities getting involved -let's celebrate and promote our brilliant homegrown writing talent. NZ Book Month (NZBM) has partnered with TVNZ and throughout October there will be New Zealand writers and readers featured on TVNZ6 and TVNZ online promoting good New Zealand literature. There is also a short story competition in the Sunday Star Times and the public will be able to read the stories and vote for their favourite. Keep an eye on www.nzbookmonth.co.nz to see what events are happening in your area. To start celebrating our homegrown talent, how about reading a NZ book right now? You can also be in the draw to win books - check it all out on the NZBM website. |

BDS Groups Participate in 'The Good Word' book show |

 The Good Word is showing on TVNZ 6. BDS groups appear on the programme talking about their experiences and books they've read.
The Good Word is produced by independent arts programme makers, 3rd Party Productions, and is fronted by novelist Emily Perkins. The programme also features journalist Finlay Macdonald as roving reporter. Previous programmes and series made by 3rd Party Productions includeThe Book Show and Talk Talk. The Good Word is a mix of studio and documentary elements. |
