Book Night winners announced!
Book Night 2018 prize winners are:
16 years and over category:
Wendy Horne, of Upper Hutt, won $175 book vouchers sponsored by Chreos Business Solutions. Her story and photo is here.
Sean Wansbrough, of Mount Somers, won a selection of books and a Book Discussion Scheme tote bag, valued at $122. His story is here.
Under 16 years winner:
Jett Wait, of Hamilton, won $75 book vouchers. Jett nominated Pirongia Playcentre as the recipient of $100 book voucher. His story is here.
However, you're all winners! Everyone who participated - the more than 2100 of us who read during Book Night - is a winner! As we all know (and as the research demonstrates) reading is a key way to develop and maintain comprehension, cognitive ability, empathy ...and much more. So, may you continue to have many happy reading adventures.
...And if you are looking to be part of a book club, Book Discussion Scheme offers affordable, convenient programmes for high school and tertiary students, adults and ESOL speakers. Groups borrow booksets from the Scheme, allowing members of a group to read the same book at the same time.
